Hey what’s up? Thanks for stopping by my site. My name is Johnny, you may know me better as Rules For Rebels from my Popular Youtube Channel Rules For Rebels. I’ve always been Entrepreneurial and liked to come up with various side hustles, but my main thing has always been eCommerce.
About 7 years back I started a small eCommerce business on a whim with a friend. We started the business with $268 as an eBay business, and 2 years later it had grown to doing over 2 Million per year in sales. About 3 years in I quit my day job to pursue the business and other ventures full-time.
When I quit my job it freed up a lot of time to work on other things. I began importing products from China to private label. In 2015 I did pretty well in the hoverboard business and was supplying most of the mall kiosks and local electronic shops with boards. That was a short lived fad, however later that year my business partner and I started a landscaping business which we continued to grow.
During this time I also was doing Affiliate Marketing on the side, I started my Youtube Channel which has grown to 85,000 plus Subscribers. I design and sell tee shirts. I also am a freelance marketing consultant. I probably spread myself a bit too thin, but I’m ADD and I like getting my hands into a lot of different things. I probably do myself a dis-service going so wide and not deep enough in many areas.
To date I’ve done over 10 Million in eCommerce sales of my own products and over 20 Milllion in sales via clients on shops and Shopify Stores. I’m have Shopify, Google Adwords, and Google Analytics Certifications and my current interests are managing Shopify Stores, SEO, and Managing Clients Affiliate Programs.
My main projects currently are managing a collection of 4 Shopify Stores as well as the marketing and Affiliate Programs for a dozens of brick and mortar Nutrition Stores across the US for a business doing 2 Million Plus in sales per month as well as growing a CBD Brand and line of Stores in Chicago.
I still enjoy trying to get new ideas off the ground, small side hustles, blogging, Youtube, and staying current with marketing trends and all things making money online.
Part of the reason I started my Youtube Channel and began working with other Entrepreneurs is I’m a square peg in a world of round holes. I never had much success in school or conventional jobs. It took me a while to figure out my strengths and how to do things my way and on my terms, and once I figured that out things began to turn around for me. Since then I’ve had a lot of success. More than I ever imagined. I’d like to share my journey with others, and hopefully help others find their way as well.
Outside of working I enjoy paddleboarding on Lake Michigan, camping and doing things outdoors, traveling, running, watching documentaries, Reddit, reading, cryptocurrency, attending meetups and business conventions, and hanging out with my dogs.
